This is my sixth visit to the Gambria, always in January or February. The light even, the heat therapeutic, the pace of life slow. I work in books observing what to see and there is much. I abstract the vivid coloured silks, the bolders washed by the tide and the particles of debris; filling to the boundaries of the page an abundance of linear marks to embrace the formal coloured part to the work.
